June 6, 2015 – We truly enjoyed the peaceful comfort here. What a way to awaken! Walk out of the bedroom to a breathtaking view! Sunsets were just as wonderful while hearing the “conch salute”. When you come here you feel like family! Thanks to all-Donna & Les, Bethany, Perry, and joyful little Margaret. God Bless!
May 26, 2015 – We found the best place to relax and unwind-Sea Escape. We will be back for a longer stay. Thanks for making it a wonderful memory!
May 25, 2015 – Priceless and unforgettable! Donna, Les, Bethany, Perry, and utterly captivating and adorable Margaret-Thanks you!! The accommodations, your hospitality, and friendliness and the sunset sail aboard the ALERT were all so appreciated and amazing. The only thing we want or need now is simply to just be stranded here!
We’ll be back!
September 24-Oct 1, 2014 – Sea Escape works its magic once again. The views, sunsets, memories but most of all the people. A bonus this year is the charming Margaret!!Leaving is so hard but I know we can come back again and again. This is my “Forever Place”! (Donna, you know why). Les thanks for starting the campfire. In short-no words can really describe this place except maybe “Heaven on Earth”.
September 23, 2014 – Wow! What an amazing place. You obviously care about your guests and have thought of everything. Irv especially loved the “place mat”. Thank you for a delightful “get-away”. We don’t ever want to leave.
Take care
September 11, 2014 – Dear McNelly and Davis families,
Wow, what a wonderful introduction to Bailey Island and Maine we’ve had. Thank you so much for your hospitality, Donna, Les, Bethany & Perry. Loved all the food tips, great conversations, and stories aboard the Schooner Alert, an especially memorable sailing on a perfect day.
Blessings, All the Best
August 27-30, 2014 – Beautiful! Surprisingly comfortable. Very Friendly. We will be back for a longer stay and for a trip on the Schooner. Our little dogs absolutely loved the yard. They ran about like pups again. Thanks to both Donna & Les for making everything special!
July 26-Aug 2, 2014 – We had a grand time-as usual breathed in salt air, ate too much-and basically had enough fun to last another year. I’m so glad you keep this spot going-for us and for all the people who enjoy it! You do good work. We love it here! We love the jam! I think it tastes better and better the farther you get from the sea! (Not sure of that fact-just suspect it.)
Thank you, thank you.
Oct 08 – Donna, Les, & Minor. Thanks to you all for a great week-everything was five star.
Oct 08 – Thank you, Donna & Les for providing such a nice family-friendly atmosphere for us. We haven’t vacationed all together since before we became grandparents and you helped so much to make it just right. Hope to see you again.
Aug 08 – Donna & Les, It’s back to Iowa for me. I have enjoyed my stay. Thanks for your hospitality. I really appreciated the “Hurricane” lobster feed. Have a good winter. Perhaps I’ll see you again in a year or two.
Aug 08 – Dear Donna and Les, I have been searching my memory back about 20 years when I visited Bailey Island, ME and I believe stayed in one of your cabins. Perhaps you can tell me if I have indeed found the same rental cabins as I am going to have the opportunity to return to your area next October (2009) and because the memory has lingered all this time, I would love to stay there again. The cabin had a wood stove, a sofa, and a comfortable chair in the “living room”. There was also a bedroom I believe behind the kitchen, and a small porch. At the time the little cabin was painted I believe a gray, or grayish blue. It was in the fall that I was there and the wood stove was cozy as it was raining heavy. If I remember there was a small store nearby that sold supplies where I purchased a few staples. If I have the right cabins, there is one memory that stands out, before leaving a lovely note of appreciation for staying there was left along with a star fish, that the note stated was obtained from the sea outside the cabins. The Christmas following my stay I received a Christmas card with a sketch of one of the cabins on front. I know a long time has passed but if you could be so kind as to tell me if I indeed found the lovely little cabin on Bailey Island, Maine.
Jul 08 – Donna and Les have run Sea Escape for many years and developed a loyal following. They provide just the right amount of friendly service. The cottages are small but the land and the view is OUTSTANDING. Make sure you enjoy the fire in the fire pit at sunset. Go to Glenn’s Lobster pier and pick your lobsters. Get sea water and sea weed from the shore to make for an outstanding meal. Les offers trips on his boat for fishing and sight seeing, it’s a great experience. The last time we stayed was 15 years ago and it was a wonderful treat to see them and share the magic of Sea Escape for my 50th birthday getaway.
Jul 08 – Les & Crew, Thanks so much for everything. The place, the hospitality and the view were great. Hope to see you again soon. PS Minor-thanks for the friendly visits.
Apr 07 – To Les and Minor Thank you very much for the warm hospitality, great lobster, and wonderful accommodations. We had a great time staying here. I Hope you have a wonderful summer and I hope to come back again. Best wishes.
