Here we will outfit people 10 years and under with life jackets, settle any balance due, and walk safely down to the Boat.
If you are running a little late or have to cancel please let us know by calling or Texting Bethany at (207) 841-9125.
WHERE WE SAIL FROM:
We sail from Cooks Lobster dock at the North End of Garrison Cove Rd. on Bailey Island. This is a floating dock with a ramp down from the wharf. Your captain and crew will show you the way.
CONTACTING US:
The best way to contact us especially in the summer is Bethany’s phone (207) 841-9125. The wireless and the cell phone coverage on Bailey Island is not wonderful (more like a secluded island than a thriving metropolises) so when you do call my cell phone and I am out of service, please leave a message so I know that you called when my phone pops back into range. We also find that text messages reach us faster and more reliably then voice messages.
We also have a landline: (207) 833-5531 - that will reach Sea Escape Cottages and Charters (our family business). In the case you are lost or really need to track us down, my Mother, Donna and Father, Les may be able to help.
WHAT TO BRING:
We recommend bringing an extra layer to keep you warm while on the water. Also a sun hat, sun glasses, sun screen, camera, and binoculars are nice to have. We don’t require you to wear any special shoes, we ask you not to wear golf cleats or high heels. Generally, plan on hanging out outside, sometimes that requires a rain jacket (no umbrellas please).
We have some extra jackets we can loan you on board if you are caught unprepared. We want you to have a great experience.
Motion sickness prevention: generally speaking, we are in protected waters and motion sickness is not a big issue. Please plan ahead, Bethany is happy to give recommendations of prevention methods.
A little extra cash: We also offer a small selection of shirts, hats and other highly coveted hard to come by merchandise on board.
FOOD AND DRINKS
You can bring anything you like to eat or drink on the boats. Adults who are 21 years and older may being alcoholic beverages.
